Natural Aptitude Test (TAN) 2021
Fifth edition of the Natural Aptitude Test (TAN) took place on August 21 in Notre-Dame-du-Rosaire
Once again this year, the pandemic context did not force dogs to participate in a TAN test, respecting distancing measures. It was a special year where it was possible to hold a multi-breed test, i.e. the issuance of a Certificate for the Search for Wounded Big Game (CARGGB).
For a 5th edition, the organization faced another major organizational challenge. First, the event was restricted to a limited number of participants in order to limit the risks of spreading Covid-19. Since the borders between France and Canada are restrictive, the jury deliberated on all the points awarded, following a viewing of video recordings.
Five participants registered to introduce their dog, 4 Hanoverian Scenthounds and 1 Bavarian Scenthound.
The jury was composed of the following members: Mr. William Thuon, judge from France, David Genois, assistant judge and Nathalie Dallaire, assistant judge. The support and all the logistics were provided voluntarily by Mr. Alain Lévesque.
A generous contribution from Mr. Jacques Cloutier and Mr. Pierre Cloutier for access to the #sentiersdelinconnu, for the greeting, the accommodation and the enchanting site. A special thank you to #Loyall, our supporter in all our events and every day in the bowl of our canine colleagues!
The Confirmation of the standard for the Hanoverian Scenthound breed and for the Bavarian Scenthound breed will be given at a later date. Thank you to the committee members, volunteers, parents and friends!
